We’ve been quietly laying the groundwork for our next steps and we have some progress to report. It’s time for an update! Start your engines!
If our recent silence caused you distress, anger or confusion, we understand how that may be and did not mean for that to happen. We took some much needed time to regroup and we’re ready to move forward, and we hope you have done the same.
We’re grateful to everyone who offered encouragement, advice and support. From other protocol teams, to the VCs and community, it’s truly appreciated!
Let’s shift our focus from the past, to answering some questions about the immediate future…
Where Are We Going?
We’re focused on simplifying participation to launches, and reducing barriers to entry by facilitating cross chain functionality. We want to make it easy to launch and back a token on any chain which means working with a large variety of people across many unique chains.
To that end, we’re also undergoing a re-vamp of our site UI. Our contracts and user interface are being re-designed and re-written. It’s already opening up doors we couldn’t see coming.
A fresh start deserves a fresh brand! This is not simply a reboot. This new iteration is a chance to do things over, with the benefit of learning from past experiences. We’re in the process of developing the new brand, token symbol and other aspects, and will unveil it when it’s ready.
Where Is Home?
We are very close to deciding and announcing our Home Chain. Our vision spans multiple chains, and our Home Chain as the place where we will write the majority of our contracts, manage our ecosystem and relaunch the token. We are not rushing into any decisions. The further we explore, the more fantastic features and teams we come across.
There are several factors influencing the decision but currently the prospects are all very exciting! For obvious reasons, we are starting our launchpad journey with Cosmos chains, focusing in the near term on those currently without a launchpad and growing from there. We cannot go into further detail until agreements are in place, at which time we will share updates.
We’re currently talking to a number of very prominent chains in Cosmos and beyond, understanding their demand, their teams and how we can best facilitate their ethos to take Atlo’s X Chain vision to the next level.
Our intention is to add new chains one at a time.
What About A Token?
Our new platform will have a token.
Just as the new launchpad is not a replica of Atlo, the new token will have a new purpose and function and we will continue to update you as we make progress.
The token will be distributed to holders of $ATLO at the snapshot taken on May 7 at Block 7544910. This is the block used by TFL and many other protocols for their token distribution and was taken just before the UST depegging.
We have to draw a line in the sand and we hope that you can understand that. We feel this is the most fair for all. If you disagree with this block, we appreciate that you have a contrary opinion, but our decision is final.
What About Atlo.App And Vesting Tokens?
The dashboard is operational, however the projects vesting tokens through Atlo have either migrated to other chains, or made the call to shelve them indefinitely. In addition, the Terra Classic chain has become extremely unreliable in processing transactions. This has rendered the dashboard and the current $ATLO token without purpose.
Communications will follow about future sunsetting. To reiterate, we have a snapshot of all information and holdings, including those in Liquidity Pools as of Block 7544910.
What Happens To My Atlo Rating?
We also have a snapshot of this data. We envision the Atlo Rating to be a stand alone product assisting users to assess and rate any subset of wallets using on-chain data. We’ll turn greater attention to it in the future.
How Do We Keep in Touch?
We haven’t had much to say lately so our social channels have been quiet. Going forward, we’ll be increasing activity when we have info to share, and we are very keen to hear from you.
We are sunsetting the Telegram chat on 1 September, and focusing on the Announcements channel to broadcast updates. We’ll continue to use Twitter and Medium as our primary social channels, with Discord as our core channel for communication among our token holders and platform users.

The Terra collapse was a black swan. That’s in the past. We’re committed to opening the opportunities of cryptocurrency to as many people as possible and have some fun while doing it. Accomplishing that starts with building an amazing launchpad, which is our prime focus for the immediate future. We’ll be early.
